Macbeth : Kingship Vs Tyranny. Come on guys.... THE STAGE IS YOURS!

" To be or not to be " .......That is the question.

" To immerse our students in Shakespeare or not to "....that is the question.

William Shakespeare is the world's most literary leader to put pen to paper and create magic on stage.

We must definitely  teach our students William Shakespeare!!

 That is our answer.

We embarked on a historical, literary and theatric journey with our students.

We chose Macbeth William Shakespeare's shortest tragedy.

We analysed the play inside out to truly understand what makes a tragedy so tragic.

We had a character breakdown session, to understand the tragic downfall of each character, how a brave honest general Macbeth and his loving wife Lady Macbeth full of valour could turn ways and transform into ruthless killers riddled with guilt.

We enjoyed our lessons so much that we decided to go that extra mile and perform to really get underneath the skin of each character and take a trip back to Shakespeare's time.

We hope you enjoy our little video of our fantastic year 3A and 3B students performing key monologues and dialogues from  William Shakespeare's Shortest tragedy Macbeth.
